Suspension control is measured, ditto roll and pitch, while the steering is accurate if lacking feedback. Add a precise, albeit overlong, gearshift and progressive brakes and the Octavia can be a surprisingly good steer, especially if powered by the torquey 2.0 TDI diesel. Family car appeal
For heavy boats (e.g. big sailing yachts) or semi-displacers, we recommend the TDI 120-5 for its wider engine speed range. Easily meets EU emissions standards and all expected future emission standards for marine engines. Ample power, ample reserve! TDI, diesel with 2.5 litre engine capacity, favourable weight performance ratio and a mighty
The 2.0 TDi had some issues with some hex shaft wearing, causing the engine to die, IIRC. DOn't know about the new stuff mind. AFAIK the A3 got the same 2.0 engines as the Octavia so the oil pump hex shaft shouldn't be an issue. One note of caution re the 1.9, whilst you can safely assume no 1.9 TDi Skoda will have a DPF the same wasn't true of
The only option I see for a turbo 'upgrade' is the K03/04 hybrid, and I have heard it's not all that much of an upgrade. The VNT will require an exhaust modification as well as a chip tune and a MAP sensor. The GT2052 will require all of the above and a manifold adapter and modified rear motor mount. I had the same problem. When I got my car running properly again my boost was in around 10 -15 psi fairly consistently. I drive a 2001 Jetta, in my shop manual the stated boost pressure is 1700 to 2200 mbar under load. The book has a n
Yep, any 6-speed bolted to a 1.8t will fit. Only problem is the gear ratios would not be fit for a diesel, ratios are really close and the final drive is too high for real efficient highway driving. On the TDI club list, SVTWEB had a euro-TDI 6-speed transmission installed in his TDI jetta. That would be ideal, but good luck getting one in the
The new 9-3X came with two engine choices: the 1.9 L diesel (producing 180 bhp) and the 2.0 L petrol engine (producing the 210 bhp). Only the 2.0 L petrol engine is equipped with the XWD while the diesel version is available only with front-wheel-drive. 2010. For 2010, the Saab 9-3 Aero's turbocharged V6 was eliminated.
The 104bhp, 184lb ft engine replaces the 1.9 TDI unit and is available to order now. The 1.6’s power and torque outputs are the same as the 1.9’s, but CO2 emissions are cut from 149g/km to
